Ectimo

How does it work?

Our system is built into a transparent, consistent process that is tailored to your individual requirements.

Five simple steps

Consultation:

First, a team of senior Ectimo consultants with experience in claims handling and recoveries will review your claims management systems and processes in order to assess:

  • The extent to which recovery rates can be improved
  • The areas of your business where the analysis will be most effective (In our experience, recovery potential is usually higher across the Home and Commercial sectors)
  • Your data compatibility with Ectimo analytics

Depending on the scope of the retainer and the size of the data sample the consultation process can be completed within 1-4 weeks.

Data transfer:

Data from your closed or outstanding claims is transferred securely and electronically to an Ectimo database. Information can be transfered electronically in flat file format or through our website data portal.

Ectimo takes security of your confidential data seriously. As a result, we offer the facility to undertake all electronic transactions by encryption using SSL technology.

Applied analytics:

We analyse the data, identify cases, group them into categories and grade them according to their recovery potential.

Reporting:

Throughout the analysis you can log in to our website and monitor the process and receive real-time reports online. We then produce an extensive final report that contains a selection of cases that should be suitable for recovery.

At this stage we happily provide a Consultancy service to advise and deliver solutions for your business. For example, we can report on common recurring problems or omissions that are responsible for missed recoveries, and help to improve your processes.

Recovery:

We will help you to case manage the recoverable claims until you have retrieved the amounts previously paid out. How we work with you depends on your operational requirements. If you wish to outsource the recovery, we can transfer the relevant data to one of the UK’s leading law firms, who will pursue the recovery on your behalf.
